Why link them
Your own Google data is a real, corroborating signal — not a GEO score.
Search Console shows the queries you already win impressions and clicks for; Analytics shows how visitors engage. Lokrix reads both as one labeled input to the feature pipeline and to generate measured recommendations grounded in your real rows. We are honest about the limits: GA4 cannot attribute AI-answer mentions, and this data complements — it does not replace — the Lokrix GEO engine.
01Before you start
Pick the right Google account.
Open Settings → Connections in Lokrix. You will need an Admin seat (connecting is an Admin action), and you must sign in with a Google account that already has access to the property you want to link.
- Search Console
- The Google account must be an owner or a full/restricted user of the Search Console property for your site (the same property you verified in the GEO-readiness guide).
- Analytics 4
- The Google account must have at least Viewer access on the GA4 property (not a Universal Analytics view — GA4 only).
- One property each
- Link the property that matches the site you scan in Lokrix. You can reconnect later to switch properties.
- Read-only
- Lokrix requests read-only scopes only (see below). You are never asked for write access.
02Google Search Console
Connect Search Console.
This links your search-performance data (top queries, clicks, impressions, CTR and average position) so Lokrix can use it as a corroborating signal and derive measured advice.
- 1 · Connect
- On Settings → Connections, click "Connect Google Search Console". Lokrix opens Google's consent screen.
- 2 · Choose account
- Sign in with (or pick) the Google account that has access to your Search Console property.
- 3 · Grant read access
- Review the requested permission — "See your Search Console data" (read-only) — and click Allow. Google returns you to Lokrix.
- 4 · Done
- The card flips to "Connected" and shows the linked site URL. The first scrape pulls your last 28 days of query rows.
03Google Analytics 4
Connect Analytics 4.
This links aggregated GA4 report rows (sessions, engaged sessions, conversions and bounce rate, by channel and landing page) for context. Lokrix never uses these to claim AI-referral magnitude.
- 1 · Connect
- Click "Connect Google Analytics 4" and Google's consent screen opens.
- 2 · Choose account
- Pick the Google account with at least Viewer access to your GA4 property.
- 3 · Grant read access
- Approve "See and download your Google Analytics data" (read-only), then click Allow.
- 4 · Done
- The card flips to "Connected" and shows the linked GA4 property id. The first scrape pulls the last 28 days.
04Scopes
Exactly what access Lokrix requests.
Two read-only OAuth scopes — nothing more. Lokrix stores the resulting tokens encrypted, server-side, and never exposes them in the UI or the API.
# The ONLY OAuth scopes Lokrix requests — both read-only:
# Google Search Console (search-performance rows)
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly
# Google Analytics 4 (aggregated report rows)
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly
# Lokrix can READ your Search Console / Analytics data.
# It can NEVER modify your site, your properties, or your settings.05Verify
Confirm the connection is live.
Back on Settings → Connections, each connected provider shows a status and a data table.
- Connected badge
- A green "Connected" pill and the linked site URL / property id appear on the card.
- Last scraped
- A "Last scraped" freshness badge shows when data was last pulled. Amber "stale" means the last successful scrape was over 24 hours ago; red "error" means the last pull failed (the message is shown).
- Data tables
- Search Console lists your top queries; Analytics lists sessions / engagement / conversions / bounce rate by channel and landing page. Empty tables mean no rows matched the window yet.
- Recommendations
- The "Recommendations from your Google data" panel fills with measured advice as soon as your rows qualify — each item is badged "Measured".
06Manual re-scrape
Request a fresh pull on demand.
You do not need to wait for the next scheduled sync. Use Re-scrape now to re-pull the rolling window immediately.
- 1 · Click
- On a connected provider card, click "Re-scrape now". The button shows progress while the pull runs.
- 2 · Result
- A short summary reports how many rows were re-scraped and updates the "Last scraped" time. Both providers can be re-scraped independently.
- Cooldown
- A per-connection cooldown prevents rapid re-pulls. Inside the cooldown window the provider is reported as "skipped: cooldown — retry in Ns" — that is expected, not an error.
- No credits
- Search Console and Analytics APIs are free, so a re-scrape never spends Lokrix credits. It re-pulls the same window and overwrites nothing — only the timestamp moves.
07Privacy & control
Your data, your control.
- Read-only
- Only read-only scopes are requested. Lokrix can never modify your site, properties, or Google settings.
- Encrypted tokens
- OAuth tokens are AES-256 encrypted at rest, decrypted only server-side for the outbound Google call, and never returned to the browser or the API surface.
- Tenant-scoped
- Every read is scoped to your workspace with row-level security. No data crosses tenants.
- Disconnect anytime
- Remove a connection from Settings → Connections at any time; you can also revoke access from your Google account permissions page.
First make sure engines can crawl you — see GEO readiness — then link Google here for corroborating signals.
