Per-engine breakdown

A single headline hides where you win and where you lose. The per-engine breakdown shows a component score, presence, share-of-voice and citations for each answer engine — so you can see, for example, that you are strong on Perplexity but invisible on Gemini, and act on the difference.

Why engines are scored separately

Each engine grounds its answers on a different index, so the same page can be surfaced by one and ignored by another. ChatGPT retrieves via the Bing index (~87% of citations match Bing top-10) and Copilot also grounds on Bing; Gemini grounds on Google Search; Perplexity runs live search across Google and Bing and over-weights Reddit (~47% of top citations) and freshness; Claude and Grok use their own live web search. Averaging them into one number would erase exactly the signal you need.

Google AI Overviews and AI Mode both synthesise from Google’s own index yet cite the same URL only ~14% of the time, which is why Lokrix treats them as two distinct engines rather than one.

What runs live by default

Five engines run live out of the box: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Gemini. Google AI Overviews and AI Mode are observed through a SERP provider and therefore require a search-provider key (Serper / SerpAPI) before they contribute live component scores. Until then their columns rely on the predictive model and are labelled accordingly.

Reading each column

  • Component score — that engine’s 0–100 visibility with its own 95% CI.
  • Presence — the Monte-Carlo probability the engine surfaces you at all for the prompt set.
  • Share of voice — how much of the answer space you occupy versus competitors.
  • Citations — the specific URLs the engine linked or cited.
